PPC / Paid Search Specialist

Summary Role Description

The Amplify PPC / Paid Marketing Specialist must work closely with the clients success team while managing clients budgets and ad optimizations with the skill of a surgeon. Keeping their “eye on the prize” in producing quantifiable leads this role requires an analytical mindset, the curiosity to test, the ability to frame “fair” tests while knowing when to change course. Aside from a deep understanding and practical knowledge of each channels intricacies, this team member must use analytic data to guide changes in ad copy, design and landing page engagement.

Lead generation in B2B is a multi-touch, nurturing process and effective PPC and remarketing is a crucial component in building a successful lead generation engine.

Core Responsibilities

  • Implement Pay Per Click media strategies for clients and events
  • Review and perform daily management activities associated with Google AdWords, Yahoo, Bing, as well as select native networks for designated clients and/or events
  • Review and perform daily management activities associated with LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and other paid social platforms for designated clients and/or events
  • Maintain and monitor keyword bids, keyword negation, daily and monthly budgets per account, impression share, quality score, and other important account metrics
  • Report findings and propose changes to management
  • Research and establish detailed keyword lists
  • Recommend and implement creative copy suggestions and graphics
  • Handle display network placement lists and target audiences on AdWords and through other contextual advertising platforms
  • Recommend and implement strategies for keyword opportunities and campaign structuring targeting AdWords search and display networks, and other paid networks and social media platforms in accordance with client goals
  • Research, strategize, and implement search campaigns, ad groups, and accounts for new clients and initiatives
  • Generate and assess weekly and monthly reporting of established metrics in all paid campaigns inclusive of, but not limited to, goal and revenue tracking. Metrics will differ between, and be specific per, client
  • Keep up to date with search engine and PPC industry trends and developments
  • Ongoing communication with, and updates to, management and internal teams to keep abreast of progress
  • Communicate with management on project development, timelines, and results
  • Work closely with the other team members to meet client goals

Foundation Of Success

  • 3-5 years of experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Paid Search (PPC). with a passion for Search and internet marketing
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points
  • Quickly learn new industries and business types with the ability to apply this knowledge to strategizing marketing initiatives to achieve client goals
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
  • Proficiency working with popular PPC ad platforms such as AdWords, Bing native and native networks(?)
  • Proficiency working with paid campaigns on social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, an Twitter
  • Proficiency with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Search Console
  • Familiarity with 3rd party research tools such as Moz, SEMRush, SpyFu
  • Competent in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Google Analytics as well as internal reporting tools
  • Proficiency in managing multiple (double-digit) large scale PPC accounts in a variety of different business while meeting the requirements outlined above
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently
  • AdWords / Bing certification a plus
  • Graphic preparation capabilities a plus
  • BS/BA degree preferred
