AIMG Designs Custom CMS Website for Metal Stamping Manufacturer

AIMG recently designed and developed a custom, branded content management system (CMS) website for Gemco Manufacturing, a contract manufacturer and global supplier of precision metal components to clients in the automotive, consumer products, medical, electronics, aerospace and telecommunications industries.

“Gemco Manufacturing has been around since 1943, with a tremendous reputation internationally for the quality of both the products and services it provides,” said Joe DeMicco, Founder & CEO of AIMG. “The client knew the web was important to their business, but also felt their original efforts online could be improved upon.  We discussed at length the fact that their site could and should use new techniques to better reflect the professionalism of the company. Although no one with any integrity can promise specific results, I and my team at AIMG analyzed the problem areas thoroughly in order to come up with a strategy that would not only set the client on the right path but would empower his team to track progress with the help of web tracking and on-going results analysis.”

Working closely with the Gemco team, AIMG’s design team developed a custom, editable content management system website solution optimized for both search and conversion. “It’s one thing to get targeted traffic to the site,” said DeMicco. “It is entirely another thing to persuade visitors to take a desired call-to-action, such as fill in and submit an online form or place a call.” To ensure the website would attract the right audience, AIMG’s senior copywriter worked with Gemco’s sales & marketing manager to develop original content that is not only search engine optimized but designed to engage and persuade visitors to respond to one of the two calls-to-action (fill in the form or call the number). To enable conversion tracking and accurate analysis of online leads results, the form is coded for tracking and the designated 800 number is used exclusively on the website.

In addition to development of original copy and a new design, AIMG’s content development team worked with Gemco to select and prepare professional photographs representing the variety of products manufactured as well as the manufacturing capabilities of Gemco’s 40,000 square foot facility in Southington, CT. To coordinate with the updated look and feel, AIMG’s design team also modernized Gemco’s logo, producing both color and greyscale versions that will be used in all collateral marketing materials for both online and offline initiatives.
